  58.     Music Volume: Adjusts the volume of the music.
  59.     Voices Volume: Adjusts the volume of all the gameÆs voices.
  60.     Sound Effects Volume: Adjusts the volume of all Sound Effects.

  62.     Audio Virtualization: Selects the 3D audio emulation mode for a 2 
  63.                   channel monitoring configuration (2 speakers,
  64.                   Headphones). The HRTF emulation is done in 
  65.                   software thus, using CPU. It is recommended to
  66.                   select "None" for minimum 
  67.                   requirements computers.
  68.     None: Stereo output with no additionnal CPU usage.
  69.     Light: Light audio 3D emulation with minimum additionnal CPU usage.
  70.     Full: Full audio 3D emulation with more CPU usage.

  72.     3D Audio Hardware Acceleration: Enables sound cardÆs 3D audio hardware
  73.           support. Disabling 3D audio may improve game's performance. 
  74.           Must be enabled to activate EAXÆs support.

  76.     EAX: If your sound card is compatible with Creative Labs EAX Processing,
  77.          enabling this option will greatly improve your sound experience.

  97.     Prince of Persia uses EAX Unified(tm) which makes the Real-Time EAX
  98.     processing compatible with EAX 1.0, 2.0 (SBLive!) and 3.0 (Audigy &
  99.     Extigy). For quadraphonic & Surround systems, you'll need to select
  100.     their corresponding monitoring option in the "Speaker Setup" scroll
  101.     window found in the "Sounds & Multimedia Properties" Tab (Multimedia
  102.     Tab under win98). The ideal monitoring option for a 2 channel setup
  103.     (2-Speakers with/without Subwoofer & Headphones) is Desktop Stereo
  104.     Speakers.
  105.     
  106.     Light & Full (Audio Virtualization options) won't give good results
  107.     in a 4-Speakers/more configuration. Use it only with a 2 channel 
  108.     monitoring setup (Dual-Speakers system & Headphones).

  110.     To enable EAX with EAX compatible systems under Windows 2000, make sure
  111.     Full Hardware acceleration is selected. In Sounds & Multimedia
  112.     properties, click Advanced in Sound Playback then the Performance tab.

  114. -Gamepad support:
  115.     
  116.     Most gamepads with dual analog sticks are supported. Other gamepads may
  117.     not be fully compatible with Prince of Persia.

  126. 2.1. Installing video drivers

  128. If you experience any graphical problems, please install the recommended video
  129. drivers for your video card. Links to the most popular video cards manufacturers 
  130. are available at the end of this document.

  135. If you experience any sound problems, please install the latest sound
  136. drivers available for your sound card. Links to the most popular sound cards

  141. C-MEDIA integrated sound:    
  142.     The C-MEDIA integrated sound device is not officially supported.

  145. 2.3. Installing DirectX
  146.  
  147. Prince of Persia needs DirectX 9.0c to run properly. To get the latest version of
  148. DirectX, please visit:

  154. It is recommended to install the latest service packs for all operating systems.

  157. 2.5. Known Problems
  158.  
  159. Autorun
  160. - Some systems doesn't have the right runtime installed for the autorun to start.
  161.   In these cases, the program will try to install it automatically.  
  162.   If it fail to install the runtime update, the following message can appear: 
  163.   "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"
  164.   - Open your explorer window (from the start menu -> Run... -> explorer.exe)    
  165.   - run the \autorun\VBRun60sp5.exe from one of your disk. 
  166.  
  167. - On some systems, a problem may occur on an installation following an 
  168.   uninstallation resulting in the autorun to be unable to display his fonts 
  169.   (text options are not visible in this case).
  170.   - It is recommended to reboot your computer after an uninstallation, especially 
  171.     if you want to  reinstall the game.
  172.  
  173. Alt-Tab
  174. - Using Alt-Tab to minimize the game is not supported by Prince of Persia.
  175.   Although it may occasionally work fine, there are many known problems that can
  176.   occur. Use it at your own risk.
  177.  
  178. 3D Antialiasing Settings of your Video Card in the Display Properties Menu
  179. - By default this option is set to "Allow applications to control the
  180.   antialiasing mode". If you select the "Manually select the antialiasing mode"
  181.   option, the game and/or your PC may crash.
  182.  
  183. Mouse Focus Changing to Other Programs
  184. - If your mouse occasionally changes focus to other applications, make sure that
  185.   these applications are not set to "Always on top." This may include the
  186.   taskbar.
  187.  
  188. V-Sync
  189. - Disabling v-sync on some video cards such as NVIDIA GeForce 3 may cause
  190.   display corruption.
  191.  
  192. Gamepads
  193. - Prince of Persia doesn't support the Gravis Eliminator's digital pad
  194.   which means that you might not be able to navigate through the menus with this
  195.   gamepad (simply use the mouse or keyboard).
